Video Poker is a beloved game that can be enjoyed in casinos around the world, or alternatively at home on your computer, through an Internet account. The regulations are absolutely straightforward and involve the player attempting to get the greatest mixture of cards achievable in order to come away with money. On this account it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, minus the line of contact with competing players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, such as tricking, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.

The game of Video Poker begins when the enthusiast puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A 5 card hand will be "given out" on the video screen.

The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts will need to now pick which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the enthusiast has chosen which cards he would like to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards will be needed they will be dealt. The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the payout schedule.

Typically, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can vary from game to game, so that knowledgeable bettors are agile enough to select the most beneficial machine each time.

Once the first round has finished, the player can either choose to stay on and try to to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that they may have won. Additionally, a few versions of the game allow the enthusiast a chance to double their winnings, in which instance a further hand is played. There are also differences among specific games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing elements to increase playability.
