Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be gambled on in casinos all over the globe, or in your house on your home computer, using a web connection. The rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player attempting to get the best assemblage of cards possible in order to come away with cash. In this respect it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, apart from the interaction with any other players. Of course, tactics used in a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the enthusiast puts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and presses the draw button. A five card hand will then be electronically ‘handed out’ on the video screen.

The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and bettors will need to now decide which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the player has chosen which cards he or she would like to retain, they should press ‘deal’, which will mean that any fresh cards are needed they will be given out. The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.

Generally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that skillful gamblers are able to select the most profitable ones each instance.

As soon as the first round has finished, the player can either decide to remain on and try to to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game give the gambler a chance to double their winnings, in which case a further round is played. There are also variations among individual games, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing elements to enhance playability.
