Video Poker is a favored game that usually will be gambled on in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at your house on your PC, through a net connection. The game rules are very simple and consist of the player trying to get the greatest combination of cards possible in order to come away with money. The game of Video Poker starts when the player inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and pushes the play button. A 5 card hand will be electronically ‘dealt’ on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and bettors will need to now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.
After the player has chosen which cards she wishes to retain, they should press ‘deal’, which will mean that any new cards will be handed out if desired. The game is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.
Generally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can range from machine to machine, so that experienced players are agile enough to pick the most profitable game every time.
As soon as the first round has finished, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Additionally, some versions of the game allow the bettor an opportunity to increase their winnings, in which instance another round is played. There are also differences between individual games, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
