Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be wagered on in casinos around the globe, or alternatively at your house on your personal computer, using a web connection. The rules are absolutely straightforward and involve the player attempting to get the greatest assemblage of cards possible in order to come away with cash. On this account it is much the same as a normal game of poker, without the line of contact with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a real-life game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the bettor inserts credits (whether it is tokens, credit slips or money) into the video poker machine and pushes the deal button. A 5 card hand will then be electronically ‘distributed’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and players will need to now decide which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.

After the bettor has decided on which cards he would like to retain, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any new cards are needed they will be given out. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.

Normally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payout schedule can change from machine to machine, so that skillful players are able to choose the most money-making ones each and every time.

After the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to continue on and try to to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Further, a few versions of the game allow the player a chance to double their profits, in which instance a further hand is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
